Our loyal gear steward here at the VSC, Andrew ‘Big Mac’ McKenzie, will be coordinating a Hobie 14 Mast Rejuvenation session on Friday afternoon (05/11/21) from 1500hrs onwards to run-over the process and check whether your retro Hobie 14 mast is correctly sealed from the deep blue sea.
Over the past month, the VSC has encountered a number of retro Hobie 14 masts where the seals have broken or corroded due to their age and time spent in the elements.
Andrew will be providing all the gear necessary for the afternoon. So if you have a retro Hobie 14 and not sure whether your mast is correctly sealed, bring it down to Plantation Point this Friday afternoon from 1500hrs onwards.
