Sunday Sailing | 5th October ’25

What a day at VSC! The sun was shining, the breeze was light (and a little indecisive), and the club was buzzing with families and friends making the most of the perfect spring weather.

With a social sail on the calendar and a few of our members running around at Great Lakes SC, several members held down the fort and brought their extended families down to have a go at sailing. Others simply relaxed and soaked up the sunshine and the gorgeous weather! The wind shifted between northeast and west before finally settling into a steady westerly mid-afternoon — keeping everyone on their toes!

Joel and River took to the water on the Dragoon, flying a hull and gliding past Rennie in fine form. Grace and Ollie both had a go on the Hobie 16 with their dad, while Elliot also enjoyed some great sailing time with his dad, James, also on a 16. The waves were also in fine form with Joss, Pete, and Jake on their helms.

All up, it was an easygoing, laughter-filled day on the bay — a perfect reminder of what makes social sailing Sundays so special at VSC. 💙⛵
